Job Summary:
K2 Integrity is seeking to recruit Asset Tracing Specialists to join our award winning team, managed by Matt Taylor who has just been ranked in Band 2 for Asset Tracing and Recovery (Investigation Agencies) - Global-wide in Chambers and Partners 2022 Rankings.
These are excellent opportunities for candidates who enjoy tracking down hidden assets through creative research methods, utilising multiple sources including public records, international media, “Internet intelligence” (domains, social media etc.), enquiries with relevant individuals and occasionally “on the ground” research where applicable.

Responsibilities:
- Managing asset tracing cases and providing asset tracing expertise in support of wider projects
- Managing and developing team members on projects
- Scoping out projects and assisting in the preparation of proposals
- Developing investigative plans, including the review and distilling of source and/or client documentation as part of the process
- Conducting research, identifying, and collating information from a variety of sources together with the review, analysis and presentation of large volumes of documentation and records
- Displaying proven high-level competence in the utilization of a wide variety of multijurisdictional information and databases
- Writing comprehensive reports from scratch for some projects while at other times, reviewing sections, written by others
- Supporting the client relationship manager in clarifying the nature of the client’s investigative requirements, attending client meetings and providing progress updates
Requirements:
- A Bachelor, Master’s degree or other professional qualification is preferred
- Full fluency in spoken and written English. Fluency in another language would be an advantage
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant field. This includes having worked in investigations and having developed a special interest or expertise in asset tracing
- Project management experience including the development of investigative plans and resource allocation
- A good understanding of international asset holding structures including the use of offshore companies and trusts
- Experience of dealing with international public record offices
- A demonstrable track record in applying creativity to research, uncovering hard-to-find information through lateral thinking and sound knowledge of sources of information
- A track record of producing high quality reports and presentations for clients
- Sound knowledge of commercial and business terms, how businesses and organisations operate and legal terminology/legislation within the investigations arena. Some knowledge of legal tools for asset recovery e.g., Norwich Pharmacal orders and Mareva injunctions would be a bonus
- Some international travel may be required occasionally at short notice
