K2 Integrity is seeking an associate to join our growing business development team. This role requires grit and grace under pressure, as we routinely pursue (and win) engagements with a demanding and fast-moving clientele — including governments, leading corporations in multiple industries, and the world’s largest financial institutions — seeking our mission-critical investigative and financial crimes compliance services.

In this role, you will coordinate all phases of the pursuit process, including meeting prep and engagement scoping; management of subject matter experts at the direction of senior practice leaders; construction, organization, and editing of submission packages; pricing; deal negotiation; and contracting. You will also create and edit client-facing materials as needed.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate each pursuit process from the first client call to the signed contract.
Track and manage the status of multiple pursuits.
Coordinate decision-making, content creation and discussion, engagement pricing, legal review, and other processes among senior leadership, including subject matter experts, the finance team, the legal team, and other related functions to meet deadlines, break bottlenecks, and deliver successful bids.
Analyze, decipher, communicate, structure, and manage the response to all bids, ranging from simple proposals or pricing requests to complex government RFP responses.

Assist with developing and writing about technical solutions and gathering critical information from past proposals.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts to refine proposal sections to ensure accuracy, compliance, consistency, and reflection of win strategies.
Gather and prepare the required documentation necessary to respond to RFIs and RFPs in compliance with provided instructions.
Contribute to business development efforts for new sales and marketing, including providing support for responses to requests for quotes, sources sought, proposals, and/or presentations as requested.
Manage proposal organization and tracking using the QorusDocs proposal management system, and assist practitioners in learning and using the system, as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
1-2 years of proposal/RFP management experience at a professional services firm.
Experience with contracts, researching and developing sources of RFPs, preparation of government proposals, and/or grant applications.

Superior writing skills, with the ability to independently draft and synthesize information and be persuasive, while paying close attention to style and detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills; strong editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to manage multiple RFPs of varying types and size through the proposal process and meet short deadlines.
Ability to work independently and to coordinate directly with executive leadership, corporate administrative departments, and practice groups throughout the proposal process.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Minimum salary: $60,000 | Maximum salary: $75,000
