K2 Integrity is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The Systems Engineer Level 1 is responsible for supporting and maintaining the firm’s core systems in accordance with established guidelines and with special focus on availability, security and reliability.  The candidate must have a broad technology skill set with a background in Microsoft technologies both on premises and in the cloud.  This is a very hands-on position that requires knowledge across a broad range of technologies and deep knowledge of the Windows/Intel Platform.  The candidate is expected to maintain and enhance his or her technical knowledge by participating in training sessions, attending seminars and reviewing publications.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the daily operations of the firm’s core systems infrastructure and maintaining that infrastructure with special focus on availability, security and reliability
  • Supporting systems in collaboration with other senior members of the IT team to improve operational processes
  • Assisting in implementing multiple concurrent planned and ad-hoc projects across a variety of technology areas
  • Working with third-party vendors in connection with infrastructure projects and operational issues
  • Monitoring and testing the performance of applications to identify potential bottlenecks and possible solutions
  • Working with other team members to implement new systems and application fixes
  • Serving as an escalation point for Level 2 operational support

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or Windows Systems Administrator
  • Strong attention to detail, must be able to review own work and assure that it is of the highest quality
  • Careful planning and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently, including the ability to manage projects and bring them to completion on time and on budget
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and consensus-driven environment with highly skilled professionals.
  • Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience across a broad range of Microsoft Infrastructure Cloud Technologies
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP Networking in a LAN and WAN environment
  • Experience with Network Switches and Network Firewalls
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Networking and SAAS applications
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 Desktops
  • Experience with IOS and Android Mobile Devices and Mobile Device Management Software
  • Experience in Windows 2022, 2019 and its accompanying roles and features
  • Experience in Active Directory Domain Services including Group Policy, DNS, and Sites & Services.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting A/V equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of HPE Aruba Switches preferred
  • Knowledge of FortiGate Firewalls and Wireless Access Points preferred
  • Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery preferred
Minimum salary: $90,000 | Maximum salary: $130,000
