Chip Poncy, president and co-founder of FIN, will be moderating a panel at the NYSSCPA Foundation for Accounting Education’s (FAE) Anti-Money Laundering Conference, titled “Does Information Sharing and Enterprisewide Risk Management Come at the Expense of Privacy and Data Protection?”
The panel will cover issues surrounding data and information within the financial system: “In our interconnected global financial system, financial crime is increasingly transnational. Financial institutions are expected to manage risk across their global enterprise and are increasingly under pressure to share information across borders. Meanwhile, new technologies make such data sharing easier and faster than ever. But, at the same time, privacy concerns remain, and some governments are trending toward exercising sovereignty over data.”
