In “Experts Pour Cold Water on Climate Change Sanctions” (7 May 2021, Global Investigations Review), Eric Lorber discusses the practicality of the new climate change sanctions from the Biden administration, which may be more complex in practice than in theory. According to Eric, “From a thirty-thousand-foot perspective, it makes sense. But when it comes down to brass tacks a lot of the decisions get really hard. You could get into the awkward position where the U.S. sanctioned its allies for climate change issues, which I don’t think this administration would be supportive of.”
