In “Cyberattacks Once Again Roil Hollywood, But Can Anything Be Done About It?” (Los Angeles Times, 23 May 2017), Jordan Arnold comments on the effects of cyber attacks being perpetrated against Hollywood, such as the most recent ransomware attacks on Walt Disney Co. and Netflix and the highly publicized hack of Sony.

According to Jordan, when private emails are stolen and publicized, as they were in the Sony attack, “it can transform careers and reputations.” For the both the studios and the stars, he continues, “It's a dual threat—to the bottom line and reputation.”
