Eric Vincent is an alternative asset management executive and industry advisor with over 25 years of hands-on experience building, growing, and managing asset management, hedge fund, and private equity firms.
Eric is president and partner of 1Roundtable Partners(1RT)/10T Holdings (10T), a growth equity firm focused on investing in the leading private companies building the infrastructure enabling the growth of the digital asset ecosystem. In addition to overseeing the firm’s day-to-day business, Eric sits on the firm’s investment committee and is a board member of various 10T portfolio companies.
Prior to joining 1RT/10T, Eric was president of Sarissa Capital Management, LP, a healthcare- and biotech-focused activist investment firm. Previously, Eric served as the head of business development at Mubadala Capital, the alternative investment arm of the sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company, where he set up and oversaw the firm’s presence in New York City and its business development efforts for its alternatives platform in private equity, venture capital, private credit, public equities, and infrastructure.
Before his time at Mubadala, Eric served as CEO of the Electrum Group LLC, a multibillion-dollar investment advisory firm focused on resources and precious metals, where he oversaw the development, launch, and management of its initial private equity funds. Prior to that, he was president of Ospraie Management, LLC, an asset management firm focused on commodities and basic industries. At Ospraie, Eric was integral in developing the firm’s long-term strategy and in steering its rapid growth from $1 billion under management with one fund product to over $9 billion under management with four distinct investment strategies: hedge fund, private equity, incubation, and long-only. He also helped negotiate key strategic investments in the management company by Lehman Bros. and Credit Suisse. Eric also served as Ospraie’s general counsel until 2006, overseeing all day-to-day legal activities.
Prior to joining Ospraie, Eric was COO of investment firm RHG Capital, L.P., and was a partner at Omega Advisors. Eric began his career as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
From 2007 through October 2009, Eric served as chairman of the board of directors of the Managed Funds Association, the leading trade association representing the U.S. hedge fund industry. As chairman, Eric met with and acted as an industry liaison to U.S. Treasury, Federal Reserve, SEC, CFTC, and congressional representatives focused on regulatory oversight of the financial services industry.
Eric is a member of the Economic Club of New York City and a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also served as a member of the Global Markets Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and a member of the Investor Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
Eric holds a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Williams College.
