Mariano Federici will be presenting a workshop at the 23rd Pan-American Risk Congress LA/FT/FPADM, held in Cartagena, Colombia on 11 and 12 July. Put on by Asobancaria, Columbia’s Association of Banking and Financial Entities, the conference brings together members of the banking industry to learn about the trends and challenges regarding the risks of money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of weapons of mass destruction.
The workshop will answer the question “How to Combat Financial Crimes Using Federated Learning?” Together with K2 Integrity’s Martin Santos and Karen Casas, Mariano will share an overview of the FCC/sanctions risk and regulatory environment, globally and in the region; discuss the drive toward digitization and the use of new technologies; and present a deep dive into the use of federated AI to discover and manage financial crime risk.
