According to Joanne, banks will have questions from their home regulators regarding SARs subject to the press articles, as well as reassurances that the bank’s SARs framework is working correctly. However, at the same time, the FinCEN Files demonstrates that banks are doing their job and filing SARs appropriately. Additionally, it opens discussion for greater reform of the global financial system.
