In an announcement from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), Juan Zarate is featured on Matthew Pottinger’s new role as chairman of the China Program at FDD.
According to Juan, “Given the size of the Chinese economy, the growth of its State-owned enterprises beyond its borders, China’s regional and global economic and financial ambitions, and Beijing’s growing willingness to leverage economic tools to coerce others, there is a striking need to develop creative strategies, tools, and alliances to defend and advance U.S. and allied interests. With the addition of Matt to lead FDD’s China program, there is no better leader or strategist to engage these issues and provide this kind of creative and cutting-edge thought leadership, for which FDD is well known.”
