Brittney Blair is a senior director in K2 Integrity’s Investigations and Disputes practice. With over 20 years of experience, Brittney is a seasoned professional in the fields of investigative research, security, management, analysis, interviewing, and general problem solving. Her expertise extends to diverse sectors, including security, technology, healthcare, media, infrastructure, and energy, where she assists clients including individuals, corporations, government agencies, law firms, and trade associations.
Brittney is a board-certified Physical Security Professional (PSP), with expertise across a broad spectrum of security domains, including Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), risk analysis for events, facilities and operations, security technology integration, security policy development, and security training and awareness programs.
At K2 Integrity, Brittney excels in developing actionable information on complex issues, from analyzing crime trends and conducting physical security assessments to crafting crisis mitigation strategies and conducting complex investigations. Brittney regularly works in support of due diligence projects, expertly navigating complicated criminal history research and interpreting litigation documents in support of investigations for a wide range of clients.
Prior to joining K2 Integrity, Brittney enjoyed a distinguished career with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in 2022. During her 14-year tenure, she led criminal intelligence operations, supported multijurisdictional investigations, and spearheaded crime reduction initiatives. Before joining the sheriff’s office, Brittney spent nearly seven years on the staff of Chicago magazine as a researcher and photo editor, where she wrote articles, coordinated the research and writing of cover stories, and conducted intricate research projects. Prior to that, Brittney led operations for the Chicago Urban Debate League, an education program within the Chicago Public Schools.
Brittney holds a B.A. in communications and government affairs from DePaul University. She also holds certifications in criminal intelligence analysis (U.S. Dept of Homeland Security), gender responsiveness in criminal justice (University of Chicago), advanced human trafficking investigations (Illinois Law Enforcement Training Advisory), executive leadership (Loyola University), and investigative interviewing and advanced interrogations (Reid Institute).
