Cameron Forsstrom is a director with K2 Integrity’s Financial Crimes Compliance practice, based in New York. He specializes in transaction monitoring, enhanced due diligence, and quality assurance within Anti-Money Laundering (AML) lookbacks. Cameron assists financial services clients with financial crimes compliance, investigating cases involving correspondent banking activity, business transactions, and wire activity. He works on the disposition of alerts by providing supporting data, analysis, and rationale in a timely manner. Using public and internal databases to gather, analyze, and document data, Cameron summarizes and communicates information that can potentially mitigate risk, as well as high-risk findings related to money laundering, fraud, and terrorist financing.
Prior to joining K2 Integrity, Cameron was a risk analyst at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked on AML lookbacks related to Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, and Know Your Customer (KYC) programs. He conducted transaction analysis, enhanced due diligence, and quality assurance on various banking activities. In addition, Cameron developed training seminars and guidance for project-tailored process improvements, as well as gaining experience in drafting suspicious activity reports (SARs).
Cameron holds a B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of South Carolina.
