Jeffrey M. Odin is director in K2 Integrity’s Financial Crimes Risk Management practice. A seasoned financial crimes and compliance professional with more than 15 years of experience in anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, transaction monitoring, and risk management across major financial institutions, he assists financial institution clients with AML lookbacks, enhanced due diligence reviews, quality assurance (QA), filing suspicious activity reports (SARs), and drafting policies and procedures.
Before joining K2 Integrity, Jeffrey served as a data specialist and remote consultant at Blue Ridge Bank, where he led daily validation efforts within the Abrigo BAM+ transaction monitoring system and supported platform migration initiatives to Verafin.
Prior to his time at Blue Ridge Bank, Jeffrey was a vice president in the financial investigative unit at Mizuho Bank Ltd. He directed a team of analysts responsible for case investigations, suspicious activity reporting (SAR), and quality assurance. He oversaw system upgrades, and led recalibration efforts for the bank’s transaction monitoring program based on risk assessments. His leadership extended to project management, regulatory remediation, and BSA/AML rule enhancements and modifications.
Earlier in his career, Jeffrey served as an AML compliance business analyst at Société Générale, where he implemented reconciliation mechanisms and enhanced monitoring rule effectiveness. At Dexia Credit Local, he held dual roles in compliance and operations, contributing to system upgrades, customer risk profiling, and AML investigations. His work included cross-functional coordination, UAT testing, and the development of procedural documentation.
Jeffrey holds a B.B.A. in banking and finance from Hofstra University. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
