Marran H. Ogilvie is a co-founder of 2Solv, an affiliate of K2 Integrity and an advisory firm that partners with high-performing emerging asset managers to accelerate their growth. She has served on the boards of 12 public companies across multiple industries, helping them navigate diverse corporate transactions such as M&As, initial public offerings, and turnarounds, as well as challenging board dynamics including activist situations, family-owned majority owners, and management transitions. She has a proven track record in strategic planning, business operations, regulatory and legal issues, and startups.
Previously, Marran served as an advisor to the creditors committee for the Lehman Brothers International (Europe) administration. She started her career at Ramius, an asset management firm founded in 1993 that went public via a merger with Cowen Group in 2009. Serving in various capacities from the firm’s inception, including as its chief operating officer and general counsel, Marran helped build Ramius to a firm with over $13 billion in assets. She created and implemented the plan to institutionalize the firm while navigating multiple business and regulatory environments both in the United States and internationally. Following the merger, Marran served as chief of staff at Cowen Group until 2010.
Marran received a J.D. from St. John’s University and a B.S. from the University of Oklahoma.
