Rowynn Svendsen is a senior security consultant with K2 Integrity/Leviathan Security Group, where she brings broad-based security expertise and deep technical proficiency to a wide range of client engagements. A knowledgeable generalist across the security spectrum, Rowynn specializes in network penetration testing, web application and API assessments, malware isolation and analysis, and custom tool development. She also has significant experience conducting red team operations and red team operations that simulate attacks and breaches by real-world adversaries. In her role as a technical lead, Rowynn ensures the successful execution of projects from initial scoping through final delivery. She is known for her rigorous standards, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable guidance for clients.
Rowynn’s work spans the full lifecycle of offensive security and threat analysis. She has isolated and examined malware to determine its behavioral patterns on file systems and track network activity; analyzed phishing campaigns and threat group activity to identify attack patterns and potential origins; and supported clients in understanding, modeling, and mitigating risks to their systems and operations. Her breadth of knowledge has made her particularly effective in reviewing threat models for existing environments and building threat models for new products, tools, and technology stacks.
Rowynn has discovered numerous vulnerabilities in products and services used by millions of people worldwide, ranging from website front ends to critical industrial control system infrastructure. She is continually expanding her expertise, developing new skills in hardware, radio, cloud security, and digital forensics.
Rowynn holds a B.S. in econometrics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
