Cameron Forsstrom is a director in K2 Integrity’s Financial Crimes Risk Management practice based in New York. He specializes in anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance, with a focus on transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk rating frameworks. Cameron performs model validations, effectiveness reviews, tuning and optimization exercises, and configuration assessments to evaluate model design, performance, data integrity, governance, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. He supports financial institutions by assessing transaction monitoring and sanctions screening models, customer risk rating methodologies, and related controls through data analysis, testing, and risk assessments, and provides practical recommendations for program enhancement.
Prior to joining K2 Integrity, Cameron was a Risk Analyst at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he supported anti-money laundering (AML), anti-terrorist financing (ATF), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Know Your Customer (KYC) engagements. He conducted transaction analysis, enhanced due diligence investigations, and quality assurance reviews across correspondent banking activities. In addition, Cameron developed training materials and guidance to support process improvements and gained experience preparing suspicious activity reports (SARs).
Cameron holds a B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of South Carolina.
