Michele Malvesti will moderate a discussion hosted by The University of Texas at Austin’s Clements Center for National Security and Strauss Center for International Security and Law. The event, “Pandemic Planning and Response Part II: High Stakes and Tough Decisions Revisited,” will be a follow-up conversation with Dr. Julie Schafer, chief technology officer for Flu Lab, focusing on the current state of the COVID-19 response, delineating events and effects that pandemic plans did and did not anticipate, evaluating where the United States and other countries have been successful and where we have fallen short, and discussing forward pathways to a post-COVID normal.
