Brian Campbell leads technology strategy for K2 Integrity/Leviathan Group, overseeing the development and adoption of emerging technologies and driving technical excellence across service delivery. He also heads K2 Integrity/Leviathan Security Group’s Technical Services group, guiding its vision, operational performance, and continued growth.
With more than 25 years in the technology industry—including over two decades in information security, web application development, and systems administration—Brian brings extensive expertise to the assessment of complex systems and the advancement of clients’ security capabilities. His experience spans black-box penetration testing, threat modeling, large-scale vulnerability assessments, and in-depth application code review.
As technical services manager, Brian leads a team of 15 security consultants, managing team performance, professional development, and project execution. Before that, he served as a senior technical services lead, directing sophisticated web-based application and cloud service assessments, providing technical oversight to project teams, and strengthening the firm’s service offerings. He was also responsible for the initial development of the firm’s vulnerability management and reporting system.
Earlier in his career, Brian held security-focused roles at V‑Empower, Inc., where he conducted full‑scale security assessments for a Fortune 500 software company; at EdLab Group, where he served as a web application developer; and at @Stake, Inc., where his work as a security architect involved performing application assessments and penetration testing. His diverse experience across consulting, development, and architecture informs his multidisciplinary approach to technical leadership.
Brian’s technical specialties include C#/.NET, JavaScript/CSS, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Java; hardware and network penetration testing; and distributed systems and Amazon Web Services (AWS) assessments.
