K2 Integrity’s Himamauli Das will be speaking at WilmerHale’s third annual Sanctions Symposium. The half-day program will bring together senior policymakers, industry leaders, and legal practitioners to reflect on the evolution of sanctions and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks in the 25 years since the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001.
Through a series of panel discussions, speakers will examine the transformation of economic tools into core instruments of national security; the development of modern sanctions and AML regimes; legal and operational challenges that have shaped AML efforts; trends and lessons learned from litigation and enforcement; the expanding role of the private sector in sanctions and export control compliance; and emerging risks at the intersection of digital assets, cyber threats, artificial intelligence, and data governance. The program will conclude with a forward-looking discussion on designing the next generation of economic statecraft.
Him will join leading WilmerHale practitioners along with representatives from Abbott Labs, Barclays, Block, BNY, Booking Holdings, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Guidepost Solutions, and TD Bank for this series of timely discussions.
