His Excellency Abubakar Malami, SAN, the Honourable Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Federal Republic of Nigeria, and VOARFS
Cordially invite you to the
Launch of the the London Declaration Facilities of Voluntary Offshore Assets Regularization Scheme (VOARS)
Due to travel and quarantine restrictions affecting people arriving in the UK from Nigeria, Nigeria’s Honourable Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and its Honourable Minister of Finance regrettably cannot be physically present in London for the VOARS Launch event. Accordingly, we are changing the format to a webinar, which will allow all to hear from the event’s keynote speakers.
VOARS is an opportunity for Nigerian relevant persons and their intermediaries to voluntarily and conveniently regularize their offshore assets held anywhere in the world by paying a one-time levy as fine for the years of irregularity.
A major benefit for declarants is a permanent waiver of prosecution for offences related to the offshore asset voluntarily declared. Declarations may be made by relevant persons or their intermediaries upon presentation of valid power of attorney. Declarations of offshore assets held anywhere in the world may be made at any of the declaration facilities in Abuja, Dubai, or London.
The Scheme was established pursuant to Presidential Executive Order 008 for Voluntary Offshore Assets Regularization Scheme (VOARS) 2018 Amendment 2019. All proceeds are transparently invested in infrastructure development in Nigeria through Nigeria Essential Infrastructure Fund (NEIF).
K2 Integrity is hosting VOARS London Declaration Facility at 1 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4HA; and provides compliance services for all declarations made in London.
London law firm Harbottle & Lewis is hosting the Special Clearance Facility of VOARS at 7 Savoy Ct, London WC2R 0EX.
