Sarah Runge will speak at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW). Held from 9 to 12 December 2024, the conference gathers leaders, market experts, and entrepreneurs from more than 100 countries to explore the power of financial, human, and technological capital as a competitive propellor for economic growth.
Sarah will speak on the 11 December panel discussion, “Emerging Threats in Financial Crimes.” The panel will discuss emerging financial crime threats fueled by technology: cryptocurrencies and DeFi, which expand avenues for money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud; cyber crime, which exposes financial system vulnerabilities; and digital wallets and peer-to-peer platforms, which reduce transparency, raising risks of undetected financial crimes.
